I am wondering if a family would like to take our classroom pet frogs home over the winter break?  They are very easy to care for - you only need to feed them pellets twice a week.

I am pleased to announce that the librarians at the HT Coutts Library have invited us back for a winter read-in session!  We will be visiting the library on Wednesday, December 19th so the librarians can read us their favourite winter stories.
The morning class will go from 10:00 - 10:30 and the afternoon class will go from 1:30 - 2:00.

If you have not yet brought in your 4x6 family photo please send it to school next week.  Almost all of our frames have been painted and we will be displaying them on Tuesday.

Welcome to Kinan, a new student in our afternoon class!

Thank you to Iffat, Rayyan's mom, for doing our dress-up laundry!

Just a reminder that there will not be school on Monday, November 12th in lieu of Remembrance Day.

Today we talked about why we have Remembrance Day and what the poppy symbolizes.  Remembrance Day is quite an abstract concept for children to grasp; however, I feel it is important to begin talking about Remembrance Day at a young age.  We each shared our thoughts during our community circle after we read "A Poppy is to Remember" by Heather Patterson.  This weekend, may you all take a moment to remember those who fought, and those who are still fighting.

Thank you to Jill, Finn's mom (afternoon class), for washing our dress-up clothes over the weekend!

Thank you to Marcia, Gabriella's Mom, for washing our dress up clothes!

If you are able to, we still need families to do our dress up laundry on the following weekends:

Morning Parents:
  • February 21
  • March 21
  • April 15

Afternoon Parents:
  • October 4
  • November 29
  • January 10
  • February 7
  • March 7
  • April 11
  • May 9

Thank you so much for your help and thank you to the parents who have already signed up for a weekend!
